Konzept

Ein schaukelnd atmendes Videobild, in dessen Mitte sich immer neue Tore aus zumeist architektonischem Material zu öffnen scheinen. Zeitgenössische Strukturen mischen sich mit historischen. Bisweilen gebären diese Tore die unteren Hälften menschlicher Körper. Das Ausgangsmaterial ist entstanden bei einem Gang durch eine touristisch geprägte Innenstadt einer europäischen Metropole mit dem Smartphone in der Hand und wurde in der Bearbeitung als horizontale und vertikale Spiegelung montiert.
Das Bild umlagert ein dunkler, sphärischer Ton mit scheinbaren Chorelementen und einem bisweilen dumpf metallisch reibenden Atmen, ein An- und Abschwellen ohne Ziel. Der Ton ist allein aus einer Bearbeitung des Originaltons der Videobilder entstanden, der Rhythm and Blues-Musik von zwei Kneipenbands und Stadtgeräusche vereint.

A swinging, breathing video image, in the middle of which new gates seem to open, mostly made of architectural material. Contemporary structures mix with historical ones. Sometimes these gates bear the lower halves of human bodies. The source material was created during a walk through a touristy inner city of a European metropolis with a smartphone in hand and was mounted as a horizontal and vertical reflection.
The image is surrounded by a dark, spherical sound with apparent choral elements and a sometimes dull metallic rubbing breath, a swelling and decay without a goal. The sound was created solely from an adaptation of the original sound of the video images, which combines rhythm and blues music from two pub bands and city sounds.
